AN ORIGINAL DANIEL GREEN ADVERTISEMENT FROM HOME JOURNAL 1950
In 1882 Daniel Green began crafting footwear in New York. Initially he made shoes from felt for factory workers to keep them warm from the cold stone floors they worked on. Later at the turn of the century he started making women's shoes and in the 1930s he called his classic creations Comfys because they were so soft and comfortable usually made of satin as seen here in these photos.
